The children at Totternhoe CE Academy are growing up in a digital age. Our students are   participants in a rapidly changing world; a world that is continuously transformed by developing technology. This is why our carefully sequenced, knowledge-rich curriculum seeks to provide a solid foundation that can be built upon, beyond the primary curriculum. Each year, pupils build upon their prior knowledge and are equipped to use information technology to create programs, systems and a range of content. 

We take internet safety extremely seriously. Every year group studies a unit of lessons on e-safety and children understand how to stay safe when using technology. We believe that staying safe online is about educating about acceptable use and not simply blocking content. We want our pupils to have an awareness of their own and other’s online behaviour, and to develop effective strategies for staying safe and making a positive contribution online.
