With God’s love, we seek adventure with our minds and find a home for our hearts
On Thursday 2nd March, it is one of our most favourite days of the year - World Book Day! It takes place every year and is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and, most importantly, reading!
Visit our 'Virtual Library' to read and listen to a variety of stories on our shelves. Look below to see, just some of the books on offer!
World Book Week 2023
We have had an amazing week filled with fun reading activities! Throughout the week, each class wrote a story with Cherry Class starting us off and Hazel ending it. On Monday, we were 'Book Detectives' and each class created trays of items linked to a book. The other classes then had to guess what the book was. On Tuesday, we had a bedtime story day. Children and staff alike dressed up in their pyjamas. Staff chose a book to read and then the children decided which story they’d like to hear from whales to aliens! On Thursday our world book week activity today was ERIC (Everybody Reading In Class). Our reading ambassador rang the bell at various points of the day and everyone (adults included) had to stop what they were doing and read. School was very quiet! On Friday, we had our traditional dress up day and parade. Well done and thank you everyone for getting involved!
