This will normally be from the Oak Academy online lessons, and will link as closely as possible to learning taking place within your child's Totternhoe CE Academy's class. These lessons will be posted on ClassDojo, on Sycamore Blended Learning Class Story.
Please continue to check ClassDojo daily, for any new notifications and postings. |
Useful Information
Monday: Class PE - arrive in full school PE kit
Wednesday: am Future Games PE - arrive in full school PE kit. Please bring in an extra pair of socks and an appropriate weather proof coat should it rain.
PE kit – please make sure your child has both an indoor PE kit (t-shirt, shorts, socks, plimsolls !) and outdoor PE kit (trainers, if possible, and tracksuit), especially now the weather is becoming colder and wetter, in school every day.
Kit must be named!
Please make sure earrings are NOT worn on PE days.
Water!
Please remind your child to bring their water bottle to school every day, filled with fresh water for them to drink freely throughout the day. We encourage the children to drink whenever they feel thirsty and their water bottle may be kept where they are working as long as it has an ‘unspillable’ drinking spout.
Don't forget healthy fruit snacks for morning break times, too!
Friday: Spellings, Times tables, Maths and/or English homework.
Spellings and Phonics – our new spelling words will be sent home on a Friday and tested a week later on the next Friday. Your child will bring home a spelling sheet each week to help them learn their spellings. Please encourage them to work on the bits they find most tricky. Remind them to apply the strategies we learn in class. Don't forget to also practising those tricky 100+ commonly mis-spelt words!
Times tables -There will be weekly times tables tests, usually on a Friday. Please encourage your child to practise their times table each day.
Please note: All Year 4s are expected to know all x facts for all times tables up to x 12. This year our class will be participating in the national Times table Check and we would like all our children to feel confident and proud of their results.
