Totternhoe is a fully inclusive school. We firmly believe that all children can make great individual progress and do so in a supportive happy community. We work closely with families and actively encourage parents and carers to come into school to meet with class teachers and Mrs Bates (SENDco ), Miss Needham (main school) or Mrs Waters (Pre School). We hold My Plan meetings termly, when SMART targets are set with you and your child. But our open door policy means we can meet more regularly if your child's needs are greater.
Squirrel Squad Nurture Group
We are a KS2 Nurture group based within Totternhoe C.E Academy. Our staff are specially trained in the theory and practice of Nurture Groups. We aim to provide an individualised programme of education focusing on the social and emotional needs of the children who are finding adapting to the requirements of formal learning challenging and overwhelming. For more information click here.

SENDIASS
We are a free, impartial and confidential service offering young people with SEND and their families information or support around all aspects of SEND. Visit our new, independent website packed full of information which we hope is useful to young people and their families as well as professionals.
https://cbsendiass.org/
During lockdown and beyond we are now running an “Ask SENDIASS” session for young people with SEND and their families to discuss their queries and concerns with a SENDIASS officer. Click flyer to find out more. This will run alongside our normal access routes into the service and we hope to get back a version of our more traditional face to face drop-ins next academic year.
We are always looking for more volunteers to support the service in various ways. Interested? Follow this link: volunteer recruitment advert
