About the church
The school has maintained links with St Giles’ Church in Totternhoe over many years. In fact, when the school first began in 1867, it was a Church school!
The  Church of St Giles  became a Grade I listed building on 3 February 1967. The church was built using stone from local quarries and has a fine exterior. Building began in the 14th century and was not completed until the 16th.
St Giles is said to host “the best set of bells in Bedfordshire”.   The    church's West Tower houses eight bells, dating back to 1654. The ringing platform in the tower was erected in 1967.

Sunday School
There is a Sunday School in St Giles, Totternhoe, in term-time for young people, currently held on the fourth Sunday of each month. They engage in activities on the same theme as the adults but designed specifically for their own age group. They then rejoin their families and the congregation for a blessing at the altar during Holy Communion.
For families that prefer to have children stay in the service we have ” All Age” services with activities for children in each parish. Here are the options:

Totternhoe has JAM Church designed especially with children  in mind at  4pm on the  First Sunday of each month. JAM stands for Jesus And Me.

Open the Book
St Giles Church has an  in-schools project for telling Bible stories to primary school children. Gallant and very talented grown ups (who are still children at heart!) go into Totternhoe CE Academy to act out stories from the Bible in assemblies, and encourage the children to join in and help tell the stories.
